Cleaning...

Have I mentioned that I've been cleaning?

People keep asking me how I like staying at home. I'll I have really done so far is clean. I don't feel like I'm really starting the true stay at home thing until the house is perfect. One more week people; it is almost done. Not that I won't clean next week. A deep clean is just so different for me than any other cleaning. It really feels like a project I have to get done before I can do anything else.

Stats so far: 4 rolls of paper towels, 180 lysol wipes, 1 can of pledge, 1/2 bottle windex, 1 pair of jeans with hole in the knee, 2 vacuums (they just keep breaking on me)
(I know I'm a disposable mess, but I just can't feel clean using a rag over and over. However I do not use the paper towels and lysol wipes exclusively; I have integrated some rags into the cleaning process.)

Becca - the Manic Maid. Dude, slow down. It's just going to get messy again. That's what I tell myself.

The interesting thing is the word 'deep.' If you have ever been to our house, you know that there is not much 'width' or 'length' to the house. So the fact that she has been home for nearly three weeks and expects another week should be illustrative of what 'deep' really means.

Be careful....some people might get the wrong idea and say that you are in a nesting period. :) Keep up the good work!! I keep having my husband read your blog so that he doesn't make fun of me as much. He sees that there are others out there like me. Thank you.

Becca - your series of posts is cracking me up. Please tell me that you are leaving the house at least for brief respites on occasion. Do you have LM duct-taped in the closet during all the cleaning sprees?

I totally agree with the rag vs. paper towel thing. I go through way too much paper towels because the rags just gross me out. It can't possibly be clean or healthy... I'm going to try the Lysol wipes. Thanks for the tip!
