Prompt #3: Did you have a favorite blanket or toy?

I love Barbies. I never had enough as a kid, and I actually still own many of my Barbies. When I say many I mean about 15. And all their clothes, misc. furniture, accessories, etc. I played regularly with my brother as a younger child. Drove my mom crazy because my little fingers weren't very good at changing the clothes, so I was always asking her to change them. As I got older I created Barbie cities with my next door neighbor. Our Barbie neighborhoods were like an episode of Desperate Housewives--drama, drama, drama. And then even as a teen (high school!) on snow days I would drive my Barbies over to her house (b/c I had to much to carry over in the snow), and we would once again set up our whole cities. Haven't taken them out recently, but I've been tempted as my friends' kids start getting into them.

Good times! I remember playing Barbies with my sisters every Sunday afternoon while my mom napped on the couch after church. We'd make our little brother bring his GI Joe doll to play with us because we didn't have any Ken dolls... Still love Barbies and Barbie clothes and I can't wait until Skaidy gets interested in therm.

My sisters had barbies and I think they still secretly play with them. They still buy them too. Their husbands get a little scared.

Me? My mom once bought me "Western Barbie," but I cut off the hair and never played with her. I much preferred my brothers Bo and Luke Duke action figures.

I too never had barbies. Never found any interest in them and it almost killed me to had to play with my little sister. I would have much rather have been outside playing basketball with my brother. Let's just say it was very hard for me to buy my first barbie for my daughter. But they love them!
