It all begins tomorrow

I think I'm ready...but how prepared can I really be? I'm traveling to a part of the world I have never visited, and doing a type of event I have never done. I was explaining to a friend that I spent my last bike ride dry heaving the whole way and how my body was really reacting to the nerves. My friend commented of course, and why wouldn't you be nervous? Good point.

I have to admit, I inherited worrying from a long line of worriers. However, I would like to think that over the years I have learned to deal with my nerves in a healthy way. I really think I'm doing a good job, except for that bike ride.

I'm hoping to post frequently while I'm away. Since I'm really on a group schedule, it is tough to say how much internet time I will have. Either way I will do some serious posting after the trip.

I still can't believe I decided to leave little man and big man for two weeks. Some people think I'm crazy for doing a 300 mile bike trip, some for going to a totally different country out of my comfort zone, but these things are minor to the craziness of leaving those two.

Good luck on your huge adventure Becca! I didn't know you come from a long line of worriers...maybe you don't think I'm as crazy as the rest of the book clubbers!?!

I think you summed it up perfectly in the last paragraph you wrote...I'm pretty sure that's exactly how I would feel too.

I know you will have an amazing life experience and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
