Memory Lane

Ok, so now I'm doing this new game that I got from my friends Sylvie and Kendell. How it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

Okay, I tried to post this last night, but it didn't work. I to remember the first time we met at my house. I thought wow, this girl is one brave sistah to come to someone's house they don't even know. But we were excited to have you and meet someone new in the ward!

I am AMAZED at your knowledge of the fashion world. I buy my bras at Costco for crying out loud! It was a blast trying clothes on with you in the same dressing room and you helping me with my seriously, fashionably, challenged self!! Thanks!

I remember when I first met you, you were dropping off Will at my apartment for me to watch him, and I thought you had the cutest skirt on!! It was fun hanging out at the markets downtown our first weeks here. I can't believe that was 2 summers ago already!!

Becca - I remember the bridal show at Thanksgiving Point where they did the random drawings and we won the pearls!! I was leaping through the place screaming because we won them. Very fun day indeed.

Hey Girl - Well, one of the first memories of you was how awesome you made my 19th birthday for me. It was just a few days into us being roommates and meeting for the very first time, and I thought I'd have the worst birthday ever b/c no one even knew it was my b-day. But you pulled out all the stops!!! Thanks!!!

Becca - I have to laugh at one of the very best memories of you. It wasn't a big event, very minor actually. And you don't even know how hilarious I found it. In fact, I didn't even laugh at the moment. It wasn't until I replayed it in my mind that I thought about how funny it was. It made me realized that your sales training there at ol' Fashion Central was pretty effective.

Here's the scene: You were being so awesome helping me find the perfect pair of travel pants for the long flight to Sweden. I was after something knit, sweatpants that didn't look like "sweatpants."

So, anyway, you found me a pile of great things to try on and while I was doing that you took one last look around the store to be sure you hadn't overlooked anything (Thanks! You're the best!)

You came back with one pair of pants and asked if I'd heard of the designer Suzi Chargeamillionbucks (that might not be her exact name, I can't remember). I hadn't. You described all the incredible properties that would make these the most fabulous travel pants ever to grace my thighs. I'm pretty sure that "bullet proof" was one of the adjectives.

And then, you delivered the best line ever uttered by a salesperson:

"Well, these are a bit more expensive though, so they are really more an INVESTMENT PIECE."

Like I said, I didn't see the absolutely hilarity in that sentence until I was in my car. Investment piece sweat pants? Your sale trainers are pure genius!!!

And while I didn't go for the $300 investment piece sweat pants, I really did get great use out of the $50 pair you helped me find. Thanks!
